Password Expiry Notification is not working

Hello,

i have a problem with the Password Expiry Notification Service in ADSelfService.

I have created a notifications job and the administrator receive a e-mail with a report, but the user does not receive an e- mail. 

In the report is the value of the column "Password Expiry Date" 0. (please see the attachment)    

Do you know why? Can you help me?

 

We have two 2 Domain Controller with Windows Server 2012 and the Domain functional level / Forest functional level is Windows Server 2008 R2

Currently ADSelfService Plus API is not available and you can only access the application from the web interface.

Hi,

Please remove the ADSelfService Plus from ServiceDesk Plus to hide the HelpDesk tab.
  • Navigate to Configure Other ME Products page by selecting Admin tab --> and Configure Other ME products option from General block

  • Disable ADSelfService Plus option

Hi!

We are glad to announce the release of the latest build of ADSelfService Plus – 5205. The latest update brings an exciting new feature.

Enhancements
  • Now easily integrate custom SMS gateway providers using the product GUI.
  • Notification emails to alert you when licensed user count reaches its maximum limit.
  • Notification emails to alert you about license and AMS expiry.

Issues Fixed

  • Issue in change password when it is done by a service account user with only change password permission.
  • Reset Password issue which displays the error ‘Problem in Change Password’ when enforce password history settings is enabled.
  • Issue in accessing password reset wizard from the login screen when multibyte characters are used in the GINA/CP button.
  • Issue in AD LDS and OpenLDAP configurations for customers migrating from old builds.
  • Password Sync Agent installation issue in non-English OS has been fixed.
  • Password Sync Agent issue which failed to sync passwords of users whose username contains more than 16 characters.
  • Issue in password sync agent audit log which stored the application IP address instead of the domain controller IP address has been fixed.
  • Issue which doesn’t prompt users to enter their alternate email address for receiving verification code.
  • Issue in configuring ‘Connection Security (SSL/TLS)’ under Mail Settings
  • Issue in saving mail server settings when the from address or admin mail address contains a top level domain name with more than 4 characters.
  • Issue in taking manual backup using backupdb.bat.
  • Issue which prevented any of the multi-factor authentication option from being set as mandatory.
  • Issue in setting a default tab under ‘Tab Customization’.
  • Issue in accessing cross domain organization charts when logged in as a domain user.
  • Disabled the "Interactive Services Detection" message pop-up which appears when ADSelfService Plus is configured to run as a service.
  • http://server:port/showLogin.cc?domainName=%domainName% - Now you can use Domain Flat Name or Domain DNS Name for the %domainName% macro.
  • Fixed slowness issues in product and report generation.

Disallow adding alternate emails

Hello,

Is it possible to disallow the domain users from adding alternate emails when enrolling? Example: I want all domain users to have one email only which is the company email linked to the ActiveDirectory user through the mail attribute...

Hello,

thank you for your replay.

 

I have the solution for this problem :-)

 

I have added three user (AD-Group) in the ADSelfService Portal.

One of three User has the service account no "write" permissions, but the other 2 User "full control".

When i delete the first user from the ad group, then the Password Expiry Notification is working :-)

 

Result:

It's was a permission problem ;-)

Is anyone having issues installing this update?
 
Right now I'm on build 5202. I'm following the instructions, and as I've always done for installing updates in the past, but it keeps erroring out.
 
The installation seems to go great, and when it gets to 98% it starts the Post invocation process, and then encounters an error and begins uninstalling the update.
I am running the Update Manager as an administrator.

Hello Yousef, maybe this will help:

I chatted with support today and I was able to disable the enrollment tab completely. This works for me, I don't know if it will fit your use case:

Configuration, Multi-factor Authentication, Verification Code, Advanced (right side)
Tick the box that says "Hide "Enrollment" tab from end-users page once they enrolled."

This method no longer works. When trying to "Import" I get the below:

C:\ManageEngine\ADSelfService Plus\jre\bin>keytool -import -trustcacerts -alias tomcat -file certnew.p7b -keystore PassManKeyStr.keystore

keytool error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Usage error, ûimportcert is not a legal command

The below does not work either:

C:\ManageEngine\ADSelfService Plus\jre\bin>keytool -importcert -trustcacerts -alias tomcat -file certnew.p7b -keystore PassManKeyStr.keystore

keytool error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Usage error, ûimportcert is not a legal command

Please provide an updated solution.

Is there a way to set or change the default settings for Policy Configuration so that when we create additional policies we don't have to change the security questions and the other settings that we have made into company policy?
